The traditional scientific conference, dedicated to the 110th birth anniversary of Varlam Topuria was held at Tbilisi State University on Jan. 8, 2010. The organizers were Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and Arnold Chikobava institute of Linguistics.
The project, entitled “Explanatory Dictionary of Georgian Literary Language” (electronic version) won the grant competition on producing Georgian electronic dictionaries of 2010 among 37 participants. The project duration: 18 months.
The presentation of the second volume of the new edition of Explanatory Dictionary was held at the Saint Trinity Cathedral’s Youth Centre on Dec. 22, 2010. The initiator of the presentation was the Georgian writers Union.
