At the meeting of the Scientific Council of Arn. Chikobava Institute of Linguistics at TSU, that was held on the 1st of August 2017, based on the results of the secret ballot Doctor of Sciences, Prof. Nana Machavariani was elected for the position of the director of the Institute.
On the basis of the secret ballot at the same meeting the following candidates were elected for a position of the head of the department:
- Gucha Kvaratskhelia – Head of the Department of General Linguistics.
- Cor. Member Vazha Shengelia – Head of the Department of Mountain Ibero-Caucasian Languages.
- Doctor of Sciences, Prof. Medea Ghlonti – Head of the Department of Lexicology.
- Doctor of Sciences, Prof. Giorgi Gogolashvili – the Head of the Department of Kartvelian Languages.
- Doctor of Sciences, Prof. Tamar Vashakidze – Head of the Department of Georgian Speech Culture.
- Doctor of Sciences, Prof. Lia Karosanidze – Head of the Department of Scientific Terminology.
- Doctor of Philology Marina Beridze – Head of the Department of Computational Processing of Linguistic Data.
